After three months of waiting for Moving Pictures to be on Google Books, I finally got in contact with someone at Google. I've uploaded a second file of MP and it is being "processed" right now. If all goes well, then by early next week MP will be available from the website of your favorite indie bookstore. (Still only available as an ebook though.)
I've added a YouTube Channel for Moving Pictures. On this page, I'm linking to some of my favorite silent films. On this page, see some of the films, and clips of films, that influenced my writing of Moving Pictures. Click here to go to the channel (Sessue Hayakawa in The Cheat) Just a reminder, if you have read Moving Pictures, I would really appreciate if you would post a review on Amazon.com, BN.com, and/or iTunes. The more reviews and ratings, the more likely it will be picked up by each site's internal search engine. Much appreciated!
I had a little bit of great news this morning. Moving Pictures is now available for purchase on iTunes. Also, anybody with an iTunes account, reviews are very welcome.
It seems crazy to me that it takes several months to put an ebook on Google when it takes only minutes to put it up on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. If Google is very serious about competing in the ebook market, they should really look into streamlining their process.
I guess I can only be patient. Moving Pictures should be up and available for purchase from iTunes any day now. I'm going through Lulu.com to get it posted and the Lulu people say it is good to go and has been sent to iTunes. I'll put up a link as soon as it's available!
Still no progress on getting Moving Pictures up on Google books and iBooks.
Today was the day! Moving Pictures was officially released. It's now available on both Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com.
Hopefully, Moving Pictures will be up on iBooks and Google books. |
